The countdown aspect really builds excitement without relying on sugar the kids talk about which ornament is coming next like it’s a major event
The mini brick ornaments are surprisingly sturdy and the instructions are super clear even for my seven year old who built most of them with minimal help love that they double as decorations after Christmas
Even though it says it’s for kids I had so much fun building the reindeer one myself while my toddler watched and copied me great bonding activity for mixed age groups
Unlike other advent calendars this one doesn’t feel like a chore to do daily the bricks click together smoothly and the variety of designs keeps things fresh every single day
We started on December 1 and now the whole staircase is lined with tiny handmade ornaments my neighbors keep stopping by to ask where we got them it’s become a real conversation starter
My son has ADHD and usually struggles with focus but he’s been sitting quietly for twenty minutes each morning to build his little ornament it’s been a game changer for our holiday routine
The instructions include fun little facts about each holiday symbol like why holly is used or the history of gingerbread houses which sneaks in some learning too
It arrived earlier than expected and the packaging was festive without being excessive very eco conscious for a toy product which matters to our family
My daughter made one for her teacher as a gift and the teacher was so touched she posted it on the school newsletter what a sweet way to spread holiday cheer
I appreciate that each day’s set comes in its own labeled pouch so there’s zero confusion or lost pieces even with three kids sharing one calendar
This advent calendar is such a fun twist on the traditional kind my kids actually look forward to building each day instead of just opening candy it keeps them engaged and creative plus the finished ornament looks adorable on our tree
